To run your account, FICIL stores the information you give us directly — your name, username, email address, and password (encrypted, never stored in plain text) — along with the activity you generate inside the app: focus sessions, tasks, streaks, city progress, achievements, and any content you post to Social (posts, comments, room activity). If you enable notifications, we also store your device's push token and local timezone so reminders arrive at the right time.
We don't sell your data. We don't run third-party ad trackers, and we don't share your focus data, tasks, or personal details with advertisers. The only outside services involved are the ones that make the app work: a push-notification provider (OneSignal) to deliver reminders, and our own hosted database to store your account.
Your focus and task data drives the features you're actually using — streaks, XP, coins, your city, and challenges. Aggregate, de-identified usage patterns may be used to improve the app; nothing about an individual session is shared outside your own account except what you explicitly choose to post to Social or a Focus Room.
You can export your data or permanently delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account removes your personal data from our systems, aside from what a short backup-retention window or legal requirement obliges us to keep briefly.
